On the evening of March 31, 1987, I was a 17-year-old in a suit and tie, sitting in a living room in Aspen Hill, Maryland. Across from me was Knesset Member Rabbi Meir Kahane.
I handed him a confidential memorandum.
It was not a theory. It was evidence, gathered during my time as a 15-year-old staffer on Capitol Hill and from my work with a Westinghouse whistleblower.
My memorandum detailed how the U.S. Army was managing a secret arms pipeline to Iran. It stated that HAWK anti-aircraft missile parts were being diverted from active U.S. forces in Europe—rendering them inoperative—and transferred to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The memorandum specified the individuals and countries involved. It further identified the U.S. Attorney General who I alleged was instructing the FBI to “cover up” the operation.
I sat there, a 17-year-old, explaining to Rabbi Kahane how the Israeli government was assisting the U.S. in fortifying an anti-Israel terrorist state.
This event was the beginning of my 40-year journey through “parapolitics”—the exercise of power by covert means.
What I did not know then was that the playbook I witnessed—the use of covert operations, bureaucratic cover-ups, and media suppression—was not an isolated event. It was the same script.
I observed it again in 1998, when I uncovered reports of a planned Palestinian Authority first strike in Judea and Samaria, and saw how the Israeli government appeared to be actively acquiescing to the threat.
I observed it again during my five years at Israel National News (Arutz Sheva), as I watched the “quintessentially Chinese COVID-19 rollout” and the suppression of dissenting medical voices.
And I identified it in what I term the “coordinated pretext” of October 7th.
It is all one contiguous story; the same playbook.
