The geopolitical architecture binding the United States and the State of Israel is frequently described through the metaphor of a “special relationship.” A central pillar of this architecture is the “Blue Wall”—the assumption that American Jewry acts as an impermeable shield for the Jewish state. For decades, we have told ourselves a comforting fiction: that the betrayals, the pressure campaigns, and the backstabbing of Israel proceed from a detached, elite “Establishment” that has lost its way, while the “average” American Jew remains a staunch, if silent, guardian of Zion.
It is time to shatter this delusion. The “Establishment” does not operate in a vacuum. It is funded, legitimized, and insulated by the apathy of the American Jewish majority. The “Blue Wall” is not just cracked; it is a mirror. If the leadership is rotting, it is because the body politic has allowed gangrene to set in.
This is not merely a history of leaders who failed; it is an indictment of a community that prioritized its own comfort, prestige, and assimilation over the lives of its brethren. From the silence during the Holocaust to the “peace” deals of the modern era, American Jews have consistently purchased their credentials in Western liberal society using their brothers’ blood as currency.
The Original Sin: Complicity in Silence
The DNA of this betrayal was sequenced long before 1948. The archetype of the “Court Jew” is exemplified by Rabbi Stephen Wise during the Roosevelt administration. When reports of the Final Solution leaked, Wise adhered to FDR’s request to suppress the information to avoid “war hysteria.” When the Bergson Group—revisionist Zionists led by Hillel Kook—began a desperate public campaign to “Save the Jews of Europe,” Wise fought them, not the Nazis.
But here lies the uncomfortable truth: Wise was not a dictator. He was the most popular Rabbi in America. The community followed him. They chose the “respectable” path of quiet diplomacy over the “uncouth” screaming of the Bergson Group. The average American Jew, fearful of rocking the boat during wartime, delegated their conscience to Wise. Silence was the price of admission to American society, and the community paid it with European lives.
The Masonic Rot of the ADL

This pattern of prioritizing American acceptance over Jewish survival is codified in our institutions. The B’nai B’rith, parent of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), was founded in 1843 by Jewish Freemasons. Modeled on Masonic universalism, it created an organization permanently torn between specific Jewish defense and a “universal brotherhood.”
Today, the average American Jew continues to cut checks to the ADL, treating it as a sacred cow. Yet, under Jonathan Greenblatt, the ADL expends massive resources hunting fringe white supremacists while turning a blind eye to the virulent antisemitism emanating from minority communities and radical progressives. Why? Because the latter disrupts the “Intersectional” coalition the American Jewish voter desperately wants to be part of. The average donor tolerates the ADL’s betrayal because the ADL buys them social credit in the Democratic party. You are not a victim of the ADL’s agenda; if you donate, you are its architect.
The “Peace” Industry: Outsourcing Suicide
In the 1990s, the “peace lobby”—groups like Americans for Peace Now and the Israel Policy Forum—pushed for the Oslo Accords. They lobbied the US to condition loan guarantees on concessions. The result was a wave of suicide bombings that shattered Israel.
The average American Jewish liberal cheered. From the safety of Long Island and the Upper West Side, they celebrated the “Peace Process” because it made Israel look like the Western democracy they wanted it to be, rather than the besieged ethnostate it is.
They demanded Israel take risks they would never have to endure. When 8,000 Jews were ripped from their homes in Gush Katif in 2005—a move lobbied for by the Union for Reform Judaism—American synagogues applauded the “courage for peace.” When Gaza subsequently became an Islamic terror base, those same congregants shrugged and moved on to their next cause.
The Trump-Kushner Era: Sovereignty for Subjugation
The betrayal is not the exclusive province of the Left. The Trump era revealed a different, perhaps more insidious, form of subjugation, enthusiastically embraced by the American Jewish Right.
Jared Kushner, the golden boy of the modern Orthodox elite, architected a “peace” that was, in reality, a liquidation of the Zionist dream in favor of a globalist real estate deal. The “Deal of the Century” and the Abraham Accords were predicated on a specific trade-off: Normalization in exchange for Sovereignty.
To secure the accolades of the world and integration into the Global Triad of superpowers, Kushner and his team pressured Prime Minister Netanyahu to “suspend” the application of sovereignty over Judea and Samaria. American Jews cheered the Abraham Accords as a triumph. They ignored the fine print: Israel was being transformed from an independent nation-state with a biblical mandate into a vassal state of a US-led regional bloc.
As detailed in recent analyses of the Global Triad, this alignment is not about Jewish strength; it is about imperial management. By integrating Israel into CENTCOM and normalizing relations with autocratic Arab regimes, the US administration—abetted by “prominent Jews”—ensured that Israel’s security doctrine would be subservient to American regional interests. The goal was not a sovereign Israel, but a manageable Israel. The “average” supporter of the Abraham Accords prioritized the optics of Dubai vacations and White House signing ceremonies over the permanent loss of Judea and Samaria. It was a deliberate move from sovereignty to subjugation, and we applauded it.
The Fifth Column is Us
The reckoning arrived on October 7, 2023. As Israel faced the most barbaric attack in its history, the fractured shield disintegrated.
While a segment of the community rallied, the institutional rot spread to the pews. We witnessed American “Rabbis” refusing to condemn Hamas lest they appear “biased,” claiming it violates “Jewish values” to call evil by its name. We saw the “Rabbis for Mamdani”—Reform clergy endorsing a socialist politician seeking to strangle Jewish charities.
But look closer. Who hires these Rabbis? Who sits on the boards that approve these statements? You do.
Even on the “pro-Israel” side, the betrayal continues. As Jonathan Pollard has noted, mainstream Jewish organizations pressured Israel to prioritize “hostage deals” and “humanitarian aid” over the total destruction of Hamas. This was not just the State Department talking; it was the consensus of the American Jewish street, terrified of bad press. By demanding Israel feed the population harboring the hostages, American Jews helped strip Israel of its leverage, prolonging the war and the captivity of their own brothers.
Rise Up or Step Aside
The time for blaming “The Establishment” is over. The Conference of Presidents, the ADL, the Federations—they are merely the executors of your will. They flourish because you fund them. They betray Israel because you tolerate it.
The history of American Jewish pressure on Israel—from Stephen Wise’s silence to Jared Kushner’s sovereignty freeze to the current administration’s blackmail—is a history of a community prioritizing its own “enlightened” standing in the West over the gritty survival of the Jewish state.
If this article angers you, good. But do not direct your anger at a building in Manhattan or Washington. Look in the mirror. If you continue to vote for politicians who condition aid, if you continue to donate to organizations that prioritize “universal values” over Jewish survival, and if you continue to remain silent while your “leaders” barter Israeli lives for American applause, then you are not a victim of the betrayal. You are the reaper.
The time has come to defund the rot. Shake off the establishment. Stop looking for a “Blue Wall” to protect Israel; the wall is a lie.
If the average American Jew does not rise up and reclaim their voice from the court Jews and the commissars, history will record that when the Jewish State needed a brother, it found only a stranger.

Thanks for putting all this together.
You made so many valid and excellent points.
Hey Mordechai, of course you are 100% correct when it comes to american Jewry and its so-called leadership, but I strongly disagree with you about Israel. You say that American jewry sells out Israel. Yes, it’s true, but so does the entire Israeli leadership, from both sides of the aisle, too. You think Bibi didn’t have a hand in writing the deal of the century or the abraham accords or the current gaza agreement? Heck, he approved them within seconds after they were announced, so of course he knew about them, at least, if he didn’t literally write them. You mention the freemasons but you didn’t take it to the conclusion. Take that thread somewhere, like Rabbi Marvin Antelman did, in “To Eliminate the Opiate”, and we’ll be discussing the treachery of all of Jewry’s leadership, both in and out of Israel, as they are both apples in the same rotten barrel.
